The philosophy

Inspired by the writer Aksel Sandemose’s Jante Law, JANTE is based on the principles of equality and modesty. A warm and personal service is just as important to us as the careful use of nature’s gifts.

A culinary metamorphosis

Chef Tony Hohlfeld creates striking and innovative dishes by combining simple and sophisticated ingredients. Each dish is a vibrant, colourful explosion of flavours.

Wine composition

Head sommelier Mona Schrader says: “Wine and food must complement each other like a couple dancing to perfection”. Her impressive selection of wines is in harmony with the components on the plate and completes the diner’s culinary experience.

The results are used for Jante’s own website. Furthermore, my pictures from the stories are used for social media, of course for magazines such as Guide Michelin, Feinschmecker, Be-EAT, which are constantly asking for new pictures, or for competitions such as the Sommelier of the Year at Rolling Pin.

Story ideas must be constantly renewed and creatively accompanied in order to represent the state of innovation and the extraordinary creations of the Jante kitchen in the course of time.

I create the image stories without any guidelines, letting myself be inspired by the seasons or ingredients. Developing my own look for JANTE was not as difficult as I first thought. Together with Mona Schrader and Tony Hohlfeld, creativity and friendship keep producing new ideas.

For more than 7 years my visual language has been that of JANTE.
